Jorge Goeters to Race at Texas and Homestead Busch Events

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After several months of hard work and preparation off the track, Mexican NASCAR driver Jorge Goeters will make his return at this weekend’s NASCAR Busch Series race in Texas.

Goeters, who is part of NASCAR’S initiative to increase diversity among drivers and crew members, competed in three races at the beginning of the 2006 season. “This year has been an educational and productive year, and we are working extremely hard to capitalize our experiences to end this season successfully,” said Goeters. Goeters is pleased to work with Spraker Racing for the Texas race as well as the upcoming Miami race on November 18. Jeff Spraker, team owner, will also act as Crew Chief of those two races.

Goeters decided to move to NASCAR in 2006 after a victorious 2005 season. Not only did he win the championship in the top Mexican stock car series, Desafio Corona, but he also captured the coveted pole position in Mexico’s first-ever NASCAR Busch Series at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on March 6, 2005.

At the Texas and Miami NASCAR Busch Series events, Goeters will drive the No. 63 racecar sponsored by Xtreme Gel and Enventys Latino Market Solutions. “I cannot thank my sponsors Xtreme Gel and Enventys enough for supporting me in these two races,” said Goeters.

“We are getting ready for a very strong 2007 season, and the Texas and Miami races will help us to do just that,” said Goeters. “We are very excited about the upcoming opportunities lined up for 2007 which will be announced at a later date.”
