Checker Auto Parts to Sponsor Steve Wallace at Phoenix

Phoenix-Based Autoparts Chain Makes NASCAR Busch Series Debut on No. 61

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 31, 2006) – RWI Racing is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Checker Auto Parts for the NASCAR Busch Series’ Arizona Travel 200 on November 11 at Phoenix International Raceway. Steve Wallace will pilot the No. 61 Checker Auto Parts Dodge Charger.

“We are thrilled to have Checker on board for Phoenix,” said team owner Rusty Wallace. “Since adding races to Steve’s schedule, he’s shown major improvements. I am sure with the support of Checker Auto Parts, Phoenix will be a successful race for Steve and the No. 61 team.”

In 2006, Steve Wallace has competed in 14 NASCAR Busch and eight ARCA RE/MAX Series’ races. In 14 NBS starts, Wallace has posted three top-15 and eight top-25 finishes. In eight ARCA starts he boasts four poles, three wins and five top-five finishes. Wallace will compete in this season’s remaining NASCAR Busch Series races.
