Telmex, Sun Microsystems Sponsor Jay Robinson Racing
Company on Cope’s 28 at California,
On Mara Reyes’ 49 at Mexico City
FEBRUARY 26, 2005 - FONTANA, Calif. – Sun Microsystems and Telmex will sponsor Jay Robinson Racing for two races over the next two weeks.
“We’re really fortunate, and feel pretty special, to have Sun Microsystems and Telmex joining us for a couple of weeks,” owner Jay Robinson said. “Huge, high-quality corporations like that don’t do things lightly, and we’re hoping to continue our momentum from Daytona at California and next week at Mexico City.”
Cope finished 16th in the NASCAR Busch Series season opener at Daytona Beach, Fla., making a phenomenal move through the field after starting 42nd.

Sun Microsystems, along with AMD, supports Escuderia Telmex (Team Telmex), which promotes the development of Mexican drivers, including Mara Reyes who is at California Speedway this weekend. The time at the speedway should help Reyes learn and talk with her teammates and other drivers prior to next week’s Mexico City event.
Escuderia Telmex (Team Telmex) is a project developed to consolidate Mexican drivers in international competition through a scaled project . They begin in lower categories, moving up to the most visible categories worldwide, and uniting the experience of drivers such as Jimmy Morales and Adrian Fernandez with the younger talents as Luis Diaz, Memo Rojas and others.
