Bodine to Run Two of Final Three Busch Races for Cicci

Owner Frank Cicci announced his driver choices in the No. 34 Dollar General Chevrolet for the three remaining races on the 2005 NASCAR Busch Series schedule

(Oct. 31, 2005) – Todd Bodine, who replaced Randy LaJoie behind the wheel of the FCR machine for the fall races at Kansas Speedway and the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte for the Dollar General 300, will return to drive the Frank Cicci Racing with Jim Kelly ride for the upcoming races at Texas and Homestead. Bodine was strong in both races but was involved in an accident in the United Way 300 in Kansas and exited with a burnt piston late in the race at Charlotte.

LaJoie, who returned to the driver’s seat last weekend in Memphis and finished 25th after running in the top 15 for the majority of the race, will drive the car in the Phoenix as Cicci completes his evaluation project that will help shape the team for the 2006 campaign.

“We are discussing various sponsorship options for next season, and when that is finalized, a final choice of driver will be made at that time”, Cicci explained. “Todd and Randy have done exactly what was intended by sharing the ride and thus allowing us to get information from two drivers on just where we are at this juncture of the season. Their input will enable us to make the changes that will only make this race team stronger”, Cicci added.
