    Stacy Compton Quotes

On Texas: "We had a real good test there last week and we think we've hit on some good setup ideas. We've been pretty good at the high-banked, mile-and-a-half cookie-cutter tracks, but we've needed something to push us to another level. We've worked hard on making the car consistent during a long run. It's been a real challenge all year to find a balance with these cars, especially with the 'softer' tires. We've brought a lot of new ideas to the table - some of them pretty radical - and some of them seem to help."

On the season: "We had a good car at Charlotte and ran over some debris. We had a good car at Memphis last week and ran over some more debris. If we had a clean racetrack, we probably would be going into Saturday's race with a couple of Top-10 finishes. You can make your own luck sometimes by working hard and doing everything right. We're doing that, and we're going to keep doing that. Eventually, we'll get some good luck. If everything evens out, then we're due for a long run of good luck."

    Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote

On Texas: "We tested at Texas with Robert Pressley and it was a valuable experience. Not only did we learn what we wanted to do, with Robert's help we learned some things that won't work. That's all part of the process. It's amazing what you can learn about the car when you realize what you can't do. The best way to make up time at Texas is to have a car that doesn't drop off too badly during a long run."
