SHERMAN’S HISTORY AT TEXAS – Brent Sherman, driving the No. 10 Serta Ford, will compete in Saturday’s O’Reilly Challenge. The race marks the NASCAR Busch Series rookie’s second trip to Texas Motor Speedway. In the spring race at the 1.5-mile track, Sherman started 37th and finished 34th in the No. 58 car.

TESTING AT TMS - Sherman and the Serta Racing team spent Monday and Tuesday testing at Texas in preparation for Saturday’s race.

SHERMAN ON RACING AT TMS - “Last week’s test went really well. We’ve had a couple of good runs in the past few races, so hopefully we can build on that this weekend at Texas and pick up another great finish like we did in Charlotte.”

ppc RACING AT TEXAS - In five NASCAR Busch Series races at Texas Motor Speedway, ppc Racing’s No. 10 team has collected three top-five finishes.

CHASSIS INFORMATION - The No. 10 Serta Racing team is running chassis No. 5720 in Saturday’s O’Reilly Challenge. Sherman previously competed in the chassis at Kansas Speedway and California Speedway. The team will have chassis No. 5718 on the hauler as a backup for the event. Sherman has yet to compete in it.

BOY OR GIRL? - Sherman and his wife Kathleen are expecting their first child in March. The couple will find out this week whether they are having a boy or a girl.

WELCOME HOME - Team mechanic Mike Armstrong, a veteran in the NASCAR Busch Series garage area, hails from Irving, Texas.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! - Rear tire carrier Dave Angel celebrated his 38th birthday on Wednesday, Nov. 2, and spotter Andy Houston will celebrate his 35th birthday on Monday, Nov. 7.

LAST RACE - At Memphis Motorsports Park, Sherman started 19th and finished 27th in the No. 10 Serta Ford after losing a couple laps while the team removed a lug nut that had become lodged in the brake rotor.

EVENT INFORMATION – Qualifying for the O’Reilly Challenge is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST on Friday, and will be broadcast by SPEED Channel. Race time is set for 2 p.m. EST on Saturday and will be televised live on TNT and broadcast by the Performance Racing Network.
