TEXAS TEST – Brandon Miller tested the REESE’S Chevrolet at Texas on March 28-29. The team worked on a variety of different setups, giving Miller much-needed seat time.

MILLER ON TRACK – Miller will be on the race track for 14 of the remaining 28 races. After Texas, Miller will turn over the keys to Kevin Harvick in Phoenix and Talladega. Miller will be back in the driver’s seat at Darlington Raceway.

LAST YEAR AT TEXAS – Last year Clint Bowyer made his Busch Series debut at Texas Motor Speedway. Bowyer started the race from the sixth position. Bowyer hit the turn four wall during the race. The REESE’S team was able to fix the car to return Bowyer to the track to finish the race. He completed 93 of the race’s scheduled 200 laps en route to a 36th-place finish.

REESE’S VOTE – “The Great REESE’S Limited Edition Vote” lasts until Sept. 20. After enjoying the new REESE’S Peanut Butter Lovers and REESE’S Chocolate Lovers Peanut Butter Cups, consumers can log on to www.REESES.com to enter their favorite winning combination. All entrants will have the chance to win a trip for four to the sweetest place on Earth: Hershey, Pa.

THE WINNING COMBINATION – Right now the winning combination is more chocolate. The Chocolate Lovers Peanut Butter Cups is winning the vote by a margin of three to one.

OWNERS’ POINTS: The REESE’S Racing team is currently second in the Busch Series Owners’ Standings, 81 points behind Carl Edwards’ team.

THE CAR – This week crew chief Rick Viers will load chassis No. 042 on the REESE’S transporter. This is the same car that Harvick won in last year at Homestead. Harvick also drove this car to two consecutive second-place finishes in California.

QUICK QUOTES AND NOTES:

Rick Viers on Miller’s test in Texas – “We gained a lot of experience from the first day to the second day of testing. Brandon also gained a lot of much-needed seat time. We are going to be bringing a much better car this weekend then we had during the test.”

On Texas – “We are really excited about Texas. Our goal for this weekend is just finish the race and make no mistakes. We can’t have any mistakes from anyone that includes the team, driver and myself. If we can accomplish these goals the results will be there.”

On Brandon Miller – “Brandon has done an excellent job so far. The results haven’t been there, but most of it really hasn’t been his fault. We are really looking forward to this weekend, and if Brandon can stay out of trouble, we will have a great finish.”

Brandon Miller on his test in Texas – “Our test in Texas started out really good. The car we tested the first day wasn’t as good as the one we used on the second day. The guys have worked really hard in the past couple of weeks to get the car ready so I am looking forward to running well this weekend.”

On Texas – “I am really excited about this weekend’s race in Texas. I got all the bad luck out during the testing session and now I am ready to go. My goal is to keep the No. 21 Chevrolet out of trouble and try and finish in the top 10.”
