    Jon Wood Quotes
On Richmond: “The Richmond International Raceway was one of my favorite tracks in the truck series, and I know it’s going to be one of my favorites in the Busch Series. You really want the car to get a good bite coming off the second and fourth turn so the car’s got a running start for the straightaways.”

On the season: “It’s amazing how much we learn every week. As a rookie, you try to soak up all the information that’s out there – the good and the bad. We’ve come a long way in just 11 races as a team. We’re a top-10 team that’s getting better and better each week. We’ve already come a long way toward realizing some of our goals – being a top-10 team and being a contender to win races. And as we continue to grow as a team, it’s only going to get better.”

    Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Richmond: “This should be a great racetrack for us. Jon has a tremendous feel for tracks where the car’s on the brink every lap. You need a good balance there. You not only have to have speed for the straightaways, but you have to have a car that can race along the inside groove and make passes, if necessary, on the outside. To get that kind of balance is a real challenge.”

    Jon Wood’s Season Highlights
    Best Starting Position: Fourth (Atlanta)
    Best Finishing Position: Second (Talladega)
    Most Money Won: $48,675 (Talladega)
    Laps Led: One (Nashville)
