    Jon Wood Quotes
On Pike's Peak: "This is the kind of racetrack where this team really excels. You can really attack the corners if your car can hug the bottom groove. The Kingsford team has a lot of good notes for Pike's Peak, and we're certainly not afraid to borrow some of their idea. Who knows, maybe we can give them some new things that can make us both better."

On the season: "We're getting back to basics. We've had our share of problems in the last month, and most of it was somebody else's doing. We're not going to worry about points for anything like that. We're going to work hard to qualify up front so we can stay out of the traffic where the wrecks seem to happen, then we're going to concentrate on keeping the car up front. The only thing that matters from here on out is running up front and contending for wins."

    Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Pike's Peak: "We need to get back on track and this is the kind of racetrack where we can make something happen. Jon really likes the kind of racetracks where he can make a difference with the way he can push the car in the corners. That will give us a bit of an edge - as long as we can make our own racing luck."

    Jon Wood's Season Highlights
    Best Starting Position: Second (Kentucky)
    Best Finishing Position: Second (Talladega)
    Most Money Won: $48,675 (Talladega)
