Top-Flite Racing Fast Facts:

  • Chassis - Bill Elliott and the Top-Flite race team are bringing the "workhouse" in their stable of cars to compete with in Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series race at Pikes Peak International Speedway. Rusty Wallace last ran this chassis at Kentucky Speedway last month.
  • Busch Series Stats - Bill Elliott is making his third start this season for RWI Racing. This, however, is the first time Elliott will drive the No. 64 Dodge with Top-Flite as the sponsor. He has competed in the No. 64 Miller High Life Dodge in Nashville and Milwaukee earlier this year for RWI Racing.
  • Elliott has 39 NASCAR Busch Series career starts, including one win, eight top-five and 15 top-10 finishes.
  • Pikes Peak Facts - Elliott will be making his first career start at Pikes Peak International Raceway this weekend.
  • Driving to the Top - For 2005, RWI Racing is carrying the colors of Top-Flite in the Busch Series. This marks the first time a golf company has entered the world of NASCAR racing.

Blake Bainbridge, Crew Chief Quotes: "We're looking forward to having Bill behind the wheel again this weekend in Pikes Peak. He's done a great job for us this year filling in for the races that Jamie (McMurray) and Jeremy (Mayfield) aren't racing in. Jamie gave us a great run last weekend in Loudon and that's really pumped up all the guys up on this Top-Flite team. We're taking a car to Pikes Peak that has a proven track record, so we're looking for good things this weekend with Bill."
