Arizona 200 - Justin Labonte Notes

Labonte/Haas U.S. Coast Guard Racing Phoenix Pre-Race Report

Justin Labonte, driver of the U.S. Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet, will make his 73rd NASCAR Busch Series start when the green flag drops for the Arizona 200 Presented By Walk the Line at Phoenix International Raceway on Saturday, November 12th.

LABONTE ON PHOENIX... “I like Phoenix a lot. It is a very different track then most that we visit during the season. Earlier this year we got a 20th-place finish, this time around we are a whole different team. We have awesome cars, Hendrick Horsepower, and Harold Holly calling the shots. With only two more races left in the season we are hoping that we can get that Top-Five finish we deserve and finish 20th in owner’s points. Our short-track package is awesome so I think we have a chance at accomplishing a Top-Five this weekend.”

PHOENIX NOTES OF INTEREST

  • Labonte has two prior starts at Phoenix International Raceway. His first start finished with a blown motor, the second came earlier this season where he garnered a 20th-place finish after starting 28th. With only two races until the end of the season Labonte and his No. 44 U.S. Coast Guard Team are looking for their first Top-Five finish of the 2005 season.
  • The team will utilize chassis number 220 for this weekend’s event.
