Arizona 200 - A.J. Foyt IV Notes

ANTHONY FOYT IV FAST FACTS NO. 38 GREAT CLIPS DODGE

PHOENIX 200 - PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY - NOVEMBER 12, 2005

FOYT LOOKING TO REBOUND AT PHOENIX - Foyt, driving the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge, will make his third NASCAR Busch Series start in Saturday’s running of the Arizona 200 at Phoenix International Raceway. Foyt has three starts at the one-mile oval in the IRL IndyCar Series.

FOYT’S THOUGHTS ON PHOENIX - “I have not accomplished what I had hoped for in my first two NASCAR Busch Series starts. I would really just like to finish a race for Great Clips. Things haven’t gone our way, but I’m hoping to turn that around this weekend. I like Phoenix because it’s a driver’s track. The turns are different and more challenging than other tracks.”

LAST WEEKEND - Foyt started his second NASCAR Busch Series race at Texas Motor Speedway from the 38th position. He brushed the wall on lap 160 and when he came down pit road for new tires, the crew noticed that the car was leaking water due to a hole in the radiator. They pushed the Great Clips Dodge back to the garage and finished the 200-lap event in 39th. Great Clips is now in the 23rd position in the NASCAR Busch Series owner point standings.

CHASSIS INFORMATION -The Great Clips team is taking chassis No. 57 to Phoenix International Raceway as the primary car. This is the same car that competed earlier this season in Bristol Motor Speedway’s second event where Mike Wallace finished 14th .

A NEW HOME – Foyt will be making the move from Houston, Texas, to Huntersville, N.C., following the Phoenix race. He is making the 1,050-mile journey across the country to be closer to Akins Motorsports, which is located in Mooresville, N.C.
