Pepsi 300 - Kasey Kahne Notes

Kasey Kahne
Pepsi 300 Event Preview
Nashville Superspeedway
March 26, 2005

HUNGRY DRIVERS™ RACING NOTES & QUOTES:

Last Race
Jeremy Mayfield drove the No. 6 Hungry Drivers™ Dodge Charger to a 22nd place finish last weekend in Atlanta.

Kasey Kahne Takes Over the Reins of the Hungry Drivers™ Dodge
Driver of the Evernham Motorsports No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger, Kasey Kahne, will take over the reins of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers™ Dodge Charger this weekend.

Kasey Kahne on Nashville Superspeedway
"I wasn't scheduled to race Nashville this weekend, but I'm looking forward to it. Nashville's a great facility and one of those tracks that is always fun to race at. I enjoy running on the concrete tracks because it mixes things up a bit. I have had some great success at Nashville but have just never been able to come home with the win. I’m hoping this weekend I’ll be able to change that. I'd like to get a win at Nashville for two reasons- first, to give the Hungry Drivers™ program and Ray Evernham their first NASCAR Busch Series victory and second, to take home one of those customized Les Paul guitar trophies. I think that’s probably the coolest trophy on the NASCAR circuit.”

Kasey Kahne on Evernham Teammate Erin Crocker’s ARCA Debut
“Ray (Evernham) has his first ARCA race as a team owner this weekend with Erin Crocker. Erin and I had a really good test there last week so I feel pretty good about it. She and I made a lot of laps and she was turning some impressive laps times. I'm really looking forward to watching how her first stock car race unfolds. I think she is going to be very successful.”

Equipment
Kahne will compete with chassis No. 11, in this weekend’s Pepsi 300 in Nashville. This is the same car that Jeremy Mayfield drove to a 22nd place finish last weekend in Atlanta.

Primary Sponsor
Shedd’s Spread Country Crock® will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 6 Dodge Charger in this weekend’s event.
