New England 200 - Kasey Kahne Notes

KASEY KAHNE TO WHEEL THE NO. 79 AUTO VALUE/BUMPER TO BUMPER DODGE CHARGER IN THE NEW HAMPSHIRE NASCAR BUSCH SERIES EVENT

No. 79 Took the Pole in Its Debut, Now Ready to Take the Win

STATESVILLE, N.C. (July 15, 2005) – Kasey Kahne will return the No. 79 Dodge Charger to action in the NASCAR Busch Series this weekend at Loudon, N.H. In his first outing in the No. 79 Dodge Charger at Richmond, he took the pole and finished fourth in the event.

When he straps into the No. 79 Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger this weekend, he expects even better results. He’ll be driving a brand new car that’s never been tested, but it’s one he thinks can win the race. Team director Chris Andrews is confident the car has the power and handling to bring Evernham Motorsports its first NASCAR Busch Series win.

Kasey Kahne on New Hampshire “From bumper to bumper, this is going to be a great race car,” said Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 79 Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Dodge Charger. “We had a great run at Richmond, and New Hampshire is a similar kind of track. We’ve been good at New Hampshire in the Nextel Cup car, so hopefully that will translate to a good run in our Busch car.”

Stats & Facts

  • In four career starts (two Busch, Two Cup) Kahne has never finished a NASCAR race at New Hampshire outside of the top 10. He has an average finish of 6.25 across both series at the track.
