Wallace’s thoughts on Memphis Motorsports Park . . .
“I really look forward to going to Memphis to race because I cut my teeth on short tracks like it when I was growing up in the mid-west. Last year I ran in the top-three all day long, and then we had a flat tire towards the end of the race. It was so disappointing to run good all day long and then not have to opportunity to be there at the end to compete for the win. Memphis is going to be a pivotal race for the AutoZone race team. We have to stop the bleeding and come back strong from the rough past couple of months that we’ve had. We’ve got to go into Memphis and turn things around by executing and not making mistakes. Memphis is home to our sponsor AutoZone, so we definitely want to have a strong showing for them, and hopefully we can put the #22 AutoZone Ford in victory lane. This team has been so close to a win many times this year and we need to close the deal.”
