    Stacy Compton Quotes

On Michigan: “It’s good to be back at a high-banked superspeedway. Michigan is the kind of track where this team really excels. You can run the bottom groove, the middle groove or the higher groove, so it’s easy to find a comfort zone. You can really push it hard at Michigan because there are so many racing grooves. The secret is to find that comfort zone, push it as hard as you can and avoid problems. ”

On the season: “This is an important stretch of races for this race team. We need solid Top-10 finishes if we’re going to realize our goal of a Top-10 finish in the point standings. Right now, the most important thing is finding consistency. We need to start stockpiling Top-10 finishes so we can achieve one of our goals, and if we do that it should put us in position to achieve our other goal – win a race.”

    Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote

On Michigan: “The biggest thing about Michigan is horsepower. It’s a fast track and it puts a big strain on the engine. The Yates engines have always been strong and fast, so that allows us to concentrate on getting the car to run fast through the corners. While there are several racing grooves, you want your car to work high and low so you can make passes. You don’t want to commit yourself to one groove because you won’t be able to move around to get through traffic.”
