Domino's Pizza 250 - Greg Biffle Notes

Greg Biffle Michigan Preview #66 DURAFLAME FORD TARUS / BREWCO MOTORSPORTS Domino's Pizza 250

Last Race- Watkins Glen- For the first time since 2001, the NASCAR Busch Series headed north to Watkins Glen International. The second road course race of the season had its share of ups and downs, as inclement weather plagued much of the weekend. Nevertheless, Greg Biffle, driver of the #66 DialŪ/RenuzitŪ Ford started 12th and finished 12th in the Zippo 200. As a result of the finish, Team Brewco #66 fell from eighth to ninth in NASCAR Busch Series owner's standings.

Equipment Notes- Team Brewco will unload Hopkins Chassis #BMI-61 this weekend. Most recently, Greg Biffle raced the 2005 Ford Taurus to a second place finish at Chicagoland Speedway. Earlier this year, Biffle raced chassis #BMI-61 to a second place finish at Texas Motor Speedway, a sixth place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and a fourth place finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway. (#BMI-61 2005 Stats: 4 Starts, 3 Top-Fives, 4 Top-Tens, Led 3 Times for 60 Laps)

Biffle at Michigan International Speedway- Biffle has had mixed results at Michigan International Speedway running races in all three of NASCAR's national divisions (Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck). He has two wins in the truck series (1999 & 2000) and has recorded two wins (2004 & 2005) at the 2-mile speedway in Cup. He's had tough luck in four Busch races at the track, however, having engine trouble and being caught up in an accident in two of those starts.

Biffle's 2005 Busch Series Statistics- Despite having competed in only 17 of 23 NBS events this season, Greg Biffle sits 15th in drivers' standings. In that time, the 2002 Busch Series champion has recorded one win (Phoenix), eight top-fives, and 12 top-tens. Biffle has led laps 14 times in nine different races for a total 221 laps. He has an average starting position of 14.5 and an average finish of 12.2.

Greg Biffle on Michigan International Speedway- "In the last few years, Michigan has quickly grown to be one of my favorite racetracks. I've had quite a bit of success there, but for one reason or another I have never had a really good run in the Busch car. A lot of that has been out of my control, whether it is parts failure or getting caught up in an accident, I just haven't been able to seal the deal. You've got to take care of your equipment here- these cars are so aero-sensitive, you really have to protect your fenders. With that being said, you've got to move around and find out what works best for your car as the race progresses. There are several different racing grooves, so if your car isn't working in one place you can search around and find a line that may be better."
