Telcel Motorola 200 pres. by Banamex - Tim Fedewa Notes

TIM FEDEWA
NO. 12 GOULDS PUMPS DODGE CHARGER
TELCEL MOTOROLA 200
AUTODROMO HERMANOS RODRIGUEZA
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO
MARCH 6, 2005

Q AND A SESSION WITH DON RADFORD
MANAGER OF MOTORSPORTS FOR GOULDS PUMPS

Why did Goulds Pumps decide to be a primary sponsor for the upcoming race in Mexico City?
Latin America is an area that is growing. Our opportunity for growth as a company is good in the region. Also, Armando Fitz gave us the opportunity to sponsor the No. 12 Goulds Pumps Dodge Charger because he knew that we like the area and that establishing ourselves in Mexico and Latin America is important to our sales efforts.

How excited are you about the NASCAR Busch Series holding an event in Mexico City?
We do hospitality events for our customers and dealers at 20 races each season. For the race in Mexico City, we are bringing 100 people to the race. If the excitement around NASCAR is as high in Latin America as it is in the United States, we would host a larger event next year inviting customers from other countries as well.

How do you feel about Tim Fedewa driving the Goulds Pumps Dodge Charger for this race?
We are very excited about Tim driving for us. First of all, he’s a good road course driver. He’s been driving in the Busch Series for many years and has a lot of experience. We’ve known him for some time. We understand each other. Our customers like him because he is a real person that they can relate to. He comes to our events and talks to our guests about things other than racing and they really connect with him.

TIM FEDEWA ON THE INAUGURAL TELCEL MOTOROLA 200 IN MEXICO CITY
I’m not only excited about returning to road racing, but also about visiting a country that I have never been to before. I am curious to see how excited the Hispanic community is about NASCAR racing and how they accept the NASCAR community. I’m looking forward to whole experience.

FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR veterans Armando and Mimi Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame member and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. The team fields three Dodge Chargers in the NASCAR Busch Series: the No. 12, sponsored by Supercuts and Hot Tamales; the No. 14, sponsored by the Navy; and the No. 40 sponsored by Jani-King, Goulds Pumps, and Cottman Transmissions. FitzBradshaw Racing is the only Busch series team that offers its sponsors exposure in NASCAR, the NFL and on television. FitzBradshaw is one of two teams featured on the SPEED Channel reality show NBS 24/7. The show airs Monday nights at 9:30 p.m. and re-airs several times weekly.
