    Jon Wood Quotes
On Las Vegas: “I’ve raced four times in the Craftsman Truck Series at Las Vegas, so I know it pretty well. I know that you have to keep your car on the bottom because that’s the shortest way around. You make your speed there coming off the second and fourth turns. You have to make sure the car’s pointed in the right direction and make sure it’s under you so you get a good start for the run the straightaways.”

On the season: “It’s hard to believe the road course in Mexico City was our best finish of the year, but it goes to show you what happens when everything comes together at the end of the race. We got knocked off the track at Daytona at the end of the race; we had a flat at the end of the race in California. I’m really excited about the way this team has come together because we’re running on the lead lap everywhere we go and we’re up front.”

    Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Las Vegas: “The best thing about this business is you only have to wait a week or two to redeem yourself. We had a Top-5 car at California, but a flat tire at the end of the race dropped us back. Now we get a chance to do it all over again at a similar kind of racetrack. We’re bringing the same package we had at California, and this time we have a couple new ideas that should make us even better.”

    Jon Wood’s Season Highlights
    Best Starting Position: 23rd (California)
Best Finishing Position: 16th (Mexico City)
    Most Money Won: $42,310 (Daytona)
    Laps Led: None
