Dollar General 300 - Justin Labonte Notes

Labonte/Haas U.S. Coast Guard Racing Charlotte Fast Facts

Justin Labonte, driver of the U.S. Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet, will make his 70th NASCAR Busch Series start when the green flag drops for the Dollar General 300 on Friday, October 14th.

LABONTE ON LOWE’S...“Lowe’s is a fun track to visit,” said Labonte. “It is near the shop, and after the day is over we get to go home, not to a hotel. It is almost more relaxing to be able to do that. Harold (Holly) knows a lot about how this track handles, he has great experience and success on the track. Even though the track surface has changed a little since the last time we ran here, we are determined to get a good Top-Ten finish in front of the hometown crowd.

HAROLD HOLLY ON LOWE’S…“ The track has changed since the last time we were here in the spring and I want to make sure we have a car that is capable of a Top-Five finish. We are going to take what we know from previous starts here and what everyone has said about the new changes and hopefully get a decent finish this week. These guys have never given up, and with just four more races in the season we want to go out with a bang.”

CHARLOTTE NOTES OF INTEREST

  • Labonte has three prior starts at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Earlier this season the team scored a 22nd place finish after starting the race 39th. Previously, Labonte has scored two 18th place finishes on his other starts at Charlotte.
  • Labonte and the U.S. Coast Guard team will be hosting Rear Admiral Branham for the Dollar General 300
