    Jon Wood Quotes
On Lowe’s: “When we tested at Lowe’s earlier this month, it seemed like a different racetrack that what I’ve always remembered. It’s smoother and it’s certainly faster. But unlike the past, it seems like the racing groove has definitely gotten smaller. Track position is going to be very critical because passing is going to be tough.”

On the season: “It’s difficult to be positive when you wreck and car and finish 35th like we did two weeks ago at Richmond, but we were running in the Top 5 when something broke in the front suspension. You have to look at the big picture: We’re a consistent Top 5 team, and as long as we keep doing that, we’re going to be fine.”

    Crew Chief Jay Guy
On Lowe’s: “The one thing that was apparent during our test session there is Turn 2. Unlike the past when you want to coming through Turn 2 on the bottom groove, now you want to be a lot higher so you’re already at full speed for the drag race down the backstretch. It’s going to be a lot different than the past because you’re going to see a lot of drivers fight for the outside groove in Turns 1 and 2 instead of the inside groove. That’s going to require a completely different setup and a different approach.”

    Jon Wood’s Season Highlights
    Best Starting Position: Fourth (Atlanta)
    Best Finishing Position: Second (Talladega)
    Most Money Won: $48,675 (Talladega)
    Laps Led: One (Nashville)
