Qualifying for the CARQUEST AUTO PARTS begins at 5:05pm today and Sauter rolls off 40th of 50 cars attempting to make tomorrow's 200-lap race under the lights.

Johnny Sauter's thoughts on the new track surface at Lowe's Motor Speedway: "This track's awesome! It's the most exhilaration feeling in the world when you go out to qualify, you don't have to lift. I think the racetrack is 10-fold smoother. I don't think that the incidents we saw during practice today were a result of the new surface, but more from the guys being too brave. But this track has a ton of grip and I cannot wait to qualify the FleetPride Dodge tonight."
