Carquest Auto Parts 300 - Lowe’s Motor Speedway

Kyle Busch Wins Again at Lowe’s Motor Speedway
Kyle Busch picked up right where he left off a year ago. When we saw the 19-year-old Busch at Lowe's Motor Speedway last May, he was standing on top of the No. 5 Lowe’s Chevrolet after doing donuts celebrating his Busch Series victory. “That was awesome,” said Busch, who joins Tim Richmond, Mark Martin and Jeff Green as the only back-to-back winners in the May LMS Busch race. Busch led 62 of the 200 laps on his way to his first Busch Series victory of the 2005 season, winning the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at LMS. He kept the lead despite four of the race’s 11 cautions falling in the last 30 laps. Sterling Marlin came home in the second position while Ryan Newman finished third, Greg Biffle fourth and Reed Sorenson rounded out the top-five.

Kahne Hungry for the Pole at Lowe's
Young Kasey Kahne is on a hot streak, streaking his way to another pole position. Kahne, this week piloting the Hungry Driver’s Dodge for Cup owner Ray Evernham, went out and scored the BUSCH pole position for the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, turning in a fast lap of 28.918 seconds, at an average speed of 186.735. Greg Biffle will start from the outside pole position, on the front row beside of Kahne. Points leader Carl Edwards will start the event in the third position. Martin Truex Jr., the defending Busch Series champion, will roll off in fourth, while Paul Menard will round out the top five.
