    Stacy Compton Quotes

On Kentucky: “This is a good time for our Kingsford/Bush’s Baked Beans team to be going to Kentucky. It’s always been a good track for me: I have a pole and a fourth-place finish there a couple years ago. It’s going to be like so many other intermediate tracks where track position is critical. For that, we’re putting a lot of effort into qualifying so we create good track position before the race starts.”

On the season: “We’ve had decent finishes in our last two races. While they weren’t the top-10 finishes that we expect, they’ve both been on the lead lap. More importantly, it seems like it’s ended a run of back luck that’s plagued us for more than a month. We seem like we’re hitting on some things that should really be beneficial in the next few races.”

    Crew Chief Chris Rice Quote

On Kentucky: “It seems like a broken record, but the key to Kentucky is getting the car to run fast and free along the bottom groove, but good enough to work the outside groove if you need to pass. It’s like that at every intermediate track we race at. You want the car to jump off the second and fourth turns so it gets up to speed quicker down the straightaways, so it’s imperative to make the car get through the corners so you’re ready to hit the accelerator when it’s time.”
