Jon Wood Quotes
On Kansas: "There's no question I've been waiting for the race at
Kansas all year. I really love the track; I really like the way the
track rewards drivers who can push the car through the corners without
pushing it too hard. I've always been able to find a good rhythm there
and that's going to be important to find that again."
On the season: "We've learned a lot this year and the biggest
lesson is just how difficult this sport can be. One week you're on top,
the next you come crashing back to reality. What's important is to keep
building, one block at a time. We've come a long way in our rookie
season and we're definitely on the upswing."
Crew Chief Jay Guy Quote
On Kansas: "The off week gave us a chance to work on all of our
cars, especially the one we're bringing to Kansas. It's no secret Kansas
is Jon's best track. He has a good idea of what he wants for that track.
But more important he has the confidence you need to really hang the car
out there. It's a momentum track. The more momentum you carry through
the corners, the more momentum you will carry down the straightaways."
