Kroger 200 - Justin Labonte Notes
Justin Labonte, driver of the U.S. Coast Guard Shield of Freedom Chevrolet, will make his 62nd NASCAR Busch Series start when the green flag drops for the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park Saturday August 6.
LABONTE ON IRP... ""IRP is a fun track to go to," said Labonte. "I haven't been in a few years, but it's your basic short track racing. You have to have good track position and be there in the end. Every week we keep getting better and better and are more competitive week in and week out. We're going to try and get a good qualifying run so that we can start up front and hopefully stay there for the rest of the race. This team is coming together, I'm looking forward to this weekend."
HOLLY ON IRP... "IRP is a fun short track. It is fast with sweeping corners at both ends. Track position is a key factor there and where you are in the end of the race is the most important. I've had pretty good cars there in the past, so I feel good about what we are bringing. The past few weeks I've learned a lot about Justin and what we need to bring to the track. Every week we unload better than the past weekend so I'm pretty confident we'll unload even better at IRP than we did last weekend. We'll try and get a good Top-10 finish."
