    Jon Wood Quotes
On California: "California is the kind of racetrack that really suits my driving style. It's fast and wide. While it's a lot like Michigan, where you can fan out two- and three-wide, the best way around will always be along the bottom. To do that, you have to make the car turn, especially in the middle of the corners. We've concentrated on making our cars turn better, and we're really gaining a lot of knowledge in that area. California will be a great test for everything we've learned so far."

On the season: "The growing pains have certainly been frustrating at times, but it's all part of the business. The biggest thing I've learned so far in this rookie season is everything has to be perfect just to run in the Top 10 - the car, the driver, the crew, everything. Included in that is racing luck. No matter how crazy things get around us, this team never stops working. It's been frustrating at times, but it hasn't derailed us one bit."

    Crew Chief Jay Guy
On California: "We're bringing a fast car and a lot of information that we've learned at the mile and-a-half and two-mile speedways this year. Jon has been great giving us feedback and we've made huge gains every time we go out. We've spent most of our testing time working on the balance of the car - making it turn freely in the corners. We're in an important stretch of the Busch Series schedule where we have to use everything we know, so this will be an important benchmark."

    Jon Wood's Season Highlights
    Best Starting Position: Second (Kentucky)
    Best Finishing Position: Second (Talladega)
    Most Money Won: $48,675 (Talladega)
