Ryan Newman/Chicagoland NBS Advance
NBS Notes:
Newman also will be racing the No. 39 Mobil 1 Extended Performance Dodge in the USG Durock 300 on Saturday. This is Newman's second NBS start this season, following a third-place NBS finish at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May.
This is Newman's second Busch Series race at Chicagoland. In 2001, Newman earned the NBS pole at the speedway but finished 26th, after being involved in an incident with a lapped car.
Roy McCauley, crew chief of the No. 39 Mobil 1 Extended Performance Dodge, will take chassis PBC-003 to Chicagoland this weekend. The new chassis was tested at the track on June 29.
The USG Durock 300 at Chicagoland will air live on NBC at 2 p.m., EDT, on Saturday, July 9, and also can be heard on MRN Radio.

Quotes:
Newman on the NBS race at Chicagoland:
"Chicagoland has always been a good track for us, but, in some ways, I feel we have some unfinished business there in the Busch Series. When we raced there in 2001, it was the track's first season and earning the pole for the inaugural Busch race was great. We clearly had the car to beat that day and we were running down the race leader when there we collided with a lapped. We have a different crew this time, but I think a victory this Saturday would make the the race four years ago a little less
"Mobil 1 is on both the Cup car and the Busch car this weekend. We won our first Cup race in a Mobil 1 car, so it always seems like a lucky charm of sorts. We won the pole for them earlier this year in Vegas and gave them a top-10 finish. Hopefully we can do even better for Mobil 1 in Chicago this weekend."
