NASCAR Busch Series
Impound Procedures

In 2005, the NASCAR Busch Series will impound cars after ALL 35 championship events following qualifying.

Following qualifying for the NASCAR Busch Series, cars must drive directly to their respective garage stall where teams may remove tape.

Then two (2) crewmembers must cover the car with one (1) car cover only. Once the car is covered, no crewmember is allowed around the car.

Generators will be allowed on the cars following qualifying until a designated time, where one (1) crew member must then remove the generator. Cars must be uncovered at designated time on race day, under the supervision of a NASCAR Official.

At that point the following adjustments may be made by a maximum of three (3) crew members per car:

Teams May:
1. Add/Remove tape from the grille;
2. Prime oil system (oil system may be primed one time only);
3. Open oil cooler valve;
4. Add water;
5. Start engine;
6. Windshield “tear offs” may be removed;
7. Set tire pressure;
8. Install radio;
9. Add driver water bottle (may also be added on pit road);
10. Five (5) gallons (maximum) of fuel may be added;
11. Track bar may be adjusted using track bar/frame end adjuster only;
12. Shocks may be adjusted (clicked only); and
13. Wedge bolts may be adjusted, rear only (1-1/2 in, 1-1/2 out).

Teams May NOT:
1. Jack up a car unless approved;
2. Open hood unless approved;
3. Adjust rear spoilers; or
4. Change tires.

Any unauthorized adjustment will result in a loss of starting position.
