Aaron's 312 - Greg Biffle Notes

Greg Biffle
Team: No. 60 Charter Communications Ford Taurus
Owner: Jack Roush
Crew Chief: Brad Parrott
Chassis: RK79 (finished 11th in the season opener at Daytona)

Greg Biffle on racing at Talladega Superspeedway: “I’m really looking forward to running both races at Talladega this weekend. Our restrictor plate program has come such a long way and it’s a good feeling to know you’re going to a particular track with racecars you know will perform well. Both the Busch car and the Nextel Cup car were top-five contenders at Daytona earlier in the season, but unfortunate circumstances took us out of contention in both races. We know the cars draft well and from there it’s pretty much just putting yourself in the right position throughout the day.

“The last few weeks have been really tough on both teams. The cars are running good but we’ve had some mechanical problems get in the way that have kept us from posting the finishes that we’re capable of. It sure would be nice to rebound with two strong performances at Talladega and get some much needed momentum going on both sides.”

Crew Chief Brad Parrott on racing at Talladega Superspeedway: “After what we learned at Daytona with the bump draft, we’re going to Talladega with a little different package. We know that the Fords are at a disadvantage, but we have to do the best we can with what we have. The guys at the shop have tweaked the areo-package and the motor department has been working extremely hard to get us the restrictor-plate horsepower we’ll need to run competitively.

“We had a top-five car in Daytona until the front end got bent, so we’ve reinforced the front-bumper assembly. Based on our performance at Daytona, we feel like we have a shot of running well this weekend and hopefully we can get the Charter car back into Victory Lane.”
