Kenseth Captures Texas Victory
Defending Nextel Cup champion and present points leader Matt Kenseth was able to capture the victory in the Busch series event at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Kenseth took the lead for the first time with six laps remaining and held on through two cautions and a quick red flag to win the O'Reilly 300. The trip to victory lane at Texas is the first in the Busch series for Kenseth, who has 15 career series wins. Polesitter Kyle Busch brought home a runner-up finish, the second time in his career that he has finished second to Kenseth. Robby Gordon crossed the finish line in third place, followed by Johnny Benson in fourth and Bobby Hamilton Jr. in fifth.
