“Pikes Peak is my favorite track on the NASCAR Busch Series schedule. When I ran [NASCAR Nextel] Cup last year, I really missed coming to this place.

“I think we have a really good shot at repeating last year’s performance this week out in Colorado Springs. My crew chief, Chris Rice, has really put a lot of effort into this car, and I think the Stacker 2./YJ Stinger team will have a really good showing out there.

“I really want to get a win for the Bill Davis Racing organization. They have been so good to me over the past couple of years, and I want to repay them by getting the Stacker 2. Chevrolet into victory lane. I think one of the best shots to win that we’ve had so far this year will be this weekend.”

Kenny Wallace happenings …
Wallace will join his brother Mike Wallace at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 29. The brothers, along with Fitz-Bradshaw drivers Tim Fedwa and Casey Atwood, will meet the troops who have served tirelessly in Iraq to keep our country free. The four will tour the base and sign autographs for the troops.

Get to Know Jack…
One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2. heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2./YJ Stinger team completes this year, NVE Pharmaceuticals, the parent company of Stacker 2., will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack’s medical costs. So far this season the Stacker 2./YJ Stinger team has raised $3,592 to help Jack and his family.

Jack was released from the hospital Wednesday, July 14. He has made incredible progress in the last couple of weeks, and the doctors felt he was able to go home and try to regain a sense of normalcy. Learn more about the Sable family on Stacker2racing.com.
