Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 - Robert Pressley Notes
ST Motorsports No. 47 Team Notes
Robert Pressley Quotes
On Phoenix: “This may be my first race at Phoenix in a Busch Series car, but I’ve got experience there in a Nextel Cup car and a Craftsman Truck. I like it because it drive more like a short track. You can to be able to get through the corners there, especially Turns 1 and 2. It’s an odd-shaped track and it’s a lot of fun to drive, especially if you’re car’s working.”
On the season: “We moved to 14th in the Busch Series standings and for the first time we can start thinking about a Top 10 finish. We’ve got a lot of work to do to make it, but it’s possible. The cars are driving better every week and we’re coming into some tracks that I really like.”
Crew Chief Dan Deeringhoff Quote
On Phoenix: “Phoenix may be a speedway, but it requires a short-track mentality. It’s the kind of track that Robert really excels on because it’s fast and you need to treat it like a short track. The crew’s challenge is to make sure the car can run along the bottom, but can jump to the outside groove when Robert wants to pass.”
