Federated Auto Parts 300 - Tony Raines Notes

RAINES POSTS CAREER MILESTONE AT NASHVILLE

MOORESVILLE, NC (June 9, 2004) – When Tony Raines takes the green flag Saturday night for the Federated Auto Parts 300, it will mark a career milestone for the Indiana native – his 150th Busch Series start. Since his inaugural race in the Series in 1999 at Daytona International Speedway, Raines has seen every green flag fall from the seat of a BACE Motorsports entry.

Raines has logged a lot of laps during his five-year tenure in the Busch Series with many coming in Tennessee, the site of this weekend’s race. With the miles (6974) ran at the four Tennessee facilities (Bristol, Memphis, Nashville Fairground and Superspeedway), Raines could drive roundtrip from Bristol to Memphis nearly ten times. While our calculators were out, here are some other interesting numbers from Raines’ first 149 starts.
