Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200 - Kenny Wallace Notes

Nazareth Speedway
Goulds Pumps ITT Industries 200

Kenny Wallace on Nazareth Speedway …
“Nazareth is an interesting place. There are no two corners that are the same, and you have to have a very balanced racecar in order to run well. Your car will never feel great all the way around the track because of the odd shape. I have historically run well at Nazareth Speedway and am looking forward to going back. I am hoping that the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger Chevrolet will be up front all day.

“The Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team has had a great couple of runs. The team is giving me great equipment and working hard to make sure that we run up front. This sport is such a team effort, and I want to make sure that people know that our team is the best of the best.”

Chris Rice on the Nazareth Speedway…
“Nazareth is really different that the other 1.5-mile tracks we go to. There are five corners, which makes it difficult to make the car handle well throughout the racetrack. I think that if you can get the car handling well through the dogleg you will have a great car.

“We are taking car No. 15, which finished sixth in Phoenix at the end of last season, so we know that it will run. I am looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend.”

Stacker 2 Happenings…
Wallace will be at Easton Area High School in Easton, Pa., May 21 at 1:30 p.m. EDT, for the eighth stop on the 2004 YJ Stinger’s “Race to Bee Safe” program. Kenny will talk to the students about the responsibility of being behind the wheel of a car. The program has an added bonus this year: one student will win a $20,000 scholarship by writing an essay about what the program meant to them

Get to Know Jack…One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2 heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team completes this year, NVE, the parent company of Stacker 2, will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack’s medical costs. So far this season, Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team have earned $2,003 for the cause.

“I intend on completing every lap I can for Jack Sable and the Sable family,” Wallace said. “At the end of the year I would like nothing more than to have Jack and his family at our table at the banquet.”
