The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 300 - Scott Lynch Notes
SCOTT LYNCH
Lowe’s Motor Speedway
Scott Lynch Back In the Driver’s Seat of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers™ Dodge:
As the last driver in the Hungry Drivers™ Racing line-up, Scott Lynch will make his second of three starts in the No. 6 Dodge this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Lynch’s last NASCAR Busch Series appearance was in the May event at Richmond International Raceway where an accident ended his night early and he left with a 39th place finish. This weekend, Lynch’s goal is to prove his ability as the most talented of the four “hungry drivers” in the program.
Scott Lynch on Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“I have heard from several drivers that Lowe’s Motor Speedway is its own beast,” said Lynch. “I really didn’t understand what that meant until my first few laps during the test session there a couple of weeks ago. It’s not your run of the mill 1.5-mile cookie cutter track. It has its own unique characteristics that you have to study and figure out. Turn three with the infamous bump is extremely critical. You are carrying such a high amount of speed going into the corner that when you hit that bump it can really upset the car. You have to focus on getting through the corner and over the bump without letting your car get too out of shape and throwing you into the wall. This is a very unforgiving race track. You cannot afford to make even a small mistake here or you will end up with a wrecked race car. It is a much faster track with more banking than what I am accustomed to so the test gave me the opportunity to get some laps under my belt and get more comfortable on the track.”
Testing:
The Hungry Drivers™ team tested at Lowe’s Motor Speedway September 28-29, 2004 in preparation for this weekend’s event.
Equipment:
Lynch will drive chassis No. 11 this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. This is the same chassis that the Hungry Drivers™ team competed with at Texas Motor Speedway (20th), Dover International Speedway (23rd) and the spring Charlotte event (22nd.)
This Week’s Primary Sponsor:
Shedd’s Spread Country Crock® spread will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 6 Dodge this weekend in the Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie 300.
