Nestlé Toll House returns for their second race of the year in the NASCAR Busch Series at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Friday, October 15th, with Jason Keller driving the ppc Racing No. 22 Ford Taurus, to launch two new varieties of the Nestlé® Toll House® Ultimates™ premium refrigerated cookie dough. New to the Toll House® family are the Nestlé® Toll House® Ultimates™ Turtle Cookies and the Chocolate Almond Fudge cookies. These two brands round out the Nestlé® Toll House® Ultimates™ product line to six varieties.

The Tradition behind the Nestlé Toll House: If you look closely at the hood of Keller’s car this weekend, you will see a house that resembles the one you visited your grandmother in when you were a toddler. But there’s an intriguing story behind this house; it happens to be the original “tollhouse” where a woman by the name of Ruth Wakefield started whipping up batches of chocolate chip cookies for countrymen traveling between Boston and Whitman, MA. The house served as a haven for weary travelers who would pay a toll, change their horses and eat much-welcomed homemade cookies. It wasn’t long before people across the Northeast began to hear about Mrs. Wakefield’s famous cookie recipe. Ruth eventually approached a company by the name of Nestlé and it wasn’t long before they reached an agreement that allowed Nestlé to print what would become the Toll House Cookie recipe on the wrapper of the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar. Today these famous HHHChocolate Chip Cookies are a household name for millions of families around the world.

Landing on Their Feet: The No. 22 ppc Racing team rebounded once again last weekend in Kansas, posting their seventh top-10 finish of the year. Keller qualified 30th but after making several adjustments throughout the race, his crew was able to get him back up front and finish the day strong. Keller will be looking for that same kind of performance this weekend in Charlotte as he looks to rebound from an engine failure that took him out of contention in the spring event; leaving him with a 31st place finish. The series veteran currently sits seventh in the driver standings, just 50 points behind fifth place.

Equipment: The team is bringing car No. 10-17 to the track this weekend in Charlotte. This is the same car that Keller drove to a seventh place finish last weekend in Kansas. Keller also drove this car at California, Charlotte, Michigan and Chicago, where he posted finishes of 19th, 31st, 16th and 2nd respectively.
