Carquest Auto Parts 300 - Jason Leffler Notes

Jason Leffler will make his 54th NASCAR Busch Series start in the CarQuest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe's (Concord, N.C.) Motor Speedway Saturday. Leffler has raced at the track twice in the Busch Series, three times in the Cup Series and one occasion in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

JASON LEFFLER ON LOWE'S MOTOR SPEEDWAY."Everybody gets pumped up when we race in Charlotte. This race is really no more or less important than any other track we go to - it pays the same amount of points - but it just seems like everybody wants to win this one worse than a lot of the others. This is one of the few times the guys have a chance to bring their families to the track and I think there's a certain amount of pride that goes along with that. They want to show their families that all the hard work and sacrifices are worth it, and the chance to celebrate a good run with them is a great opportunity.

"Our Haas Automation Chevrolet was pretty good in the test a couple of weeks ago. It's the same car we raced in Bristol and the guys had to do some serious work to get it back into shape after we wrecked it there. Bootie (Barker, crew chief) and the guys have been busy with testing and preparing cars and it's all started to come together. We're so close to taking that next step into victory lane. We're so much better as a team than we were at the start of the season and we want so badly to win. Our time will come, we're all sure of that, we'd just like to see it come sooner rather than later."
