Saturday’s race will be Pressley’s first career Busch Series start at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway.
Pressley will be making his 233rd career start – 23rd-most in series history – on the NASCAR Busch Series circuit.

On Kansas: “At first glance, Kansas looks a lot like Chicagoland. But there are enough differences to create some unique problems. The one thing they share, however, is speed. Both are real fast racetracks, and you need to run the lower groove to be really fast. You can finally run the middle and higher grooves to make passes now that the pavement has cured, but you’re just adding distance to the race if you stay up there too long.”
On the season: “We’ve been stuck with track position most of the year, so we’re going to work on our qualifying package. I think once we get toward the front, the car is good enough to race for Top-10 finishes. Although we’re easily within reach of a Top-10 finish in the points, we’re going to concentrate on improving our track position. After that, everything else will work out.”

On Kansas: “This is the first of several races on mile-and-a-half tracks, so we’re putting a lot of work into these races. We tested this week at Atlanta and learned a lot of things. The car is plenty fast enough, so now we’ve got to make it more comfortable for Robert to drive, especially through the center of the corners. Kansas is one of those tracks where you have to be able to rocket off the corners if you’re going to be fast down the straightaways.”
