Greg Biffle on racing at Indianapolis Raceway Park:
“Last weekend’s performances in both cars is just what we needed, especially on the Cup side. Our cars have been good all season; we just haven’t been able to get the results. Last weekend showed what the No. 16 National Guard team is capable of and I foresee a lot more of that in the future. The win in the Busch car was awesome. It’s nice to go somewhere, show up with no laps in the car and win a race. Brad, Mike (McLaughlin) and the guys did a great job setting up the car. I couldn’t be prouder of the effort everyone put forth last weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to heading to Indianapolis this weekend. We’ve got momentum on our side and I think we’ll be strong. We had a good test there last month and I’d really like to get a top five at the Brickyard. IRP has been a good track for us over the years and we’re taking the same car we won with in 2002. I’m sure it will be equally as good and hopefully we can get back to back wins in the Charter Ford.”
Crew Chief Brad Parrott on racing at Indianapolis Raceway Park:
“We finished sixth at IRP with Jon Wood driving the No. 9 in 2002 and Greg has always run well there, so I think we’ve definitely got the notes to give us a good starting point. We’re taking the same car we led laps with at Loudon before we flat spotted the tires, and it’s the same car Greg won with from the pole at IRP in 2002. I’m really looking forward to this weekend for a number of reasons. We’re coming off a win and the guys and Greg are really pumped up. We’re out for wins now and we definitely have a shot at another one this weekend.”
