Stacy Compton is 15th in the NASCAR Busch Series standings with $775,945 in earnings.

Compton has four career starts in the NASCAR Busch Series at the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway, including a 10th-place finish there in 2001.

Compton will be making his 103rd consecutive career start in the NASCAR Busch Series circuit – all with ST Motorsports.

On Homestead: “The Homestead-Miami Speedway is sentimental for me and ST Motorsports because that’s where I made my first start with this race team. We’ve made 102 consecutive starts since and we’ve accomplished a lot. I really like Homestead because it takes a lot of horsepower. The key, however, is the driver. You have to be able to use that horsepower without wasting it. If the car’s not pointed in the right direction through the corners, you’re wasting a lot of speed.”

On the season: “We, of course, don’t easily accept our position in the Top 15 because we wanted more, but you have to appreciate just how far we’ve come this year. We added a new team with Robert and we switched to Fords. That was a lot to take on, but I think it’s something that will help this team in the future.”

On Homestead: “We want to keep our spot in the Top 15 in the point standings, or even improve our position, but we’re thinking about Homestead as the first race for the 2005 season. Stacy’s always had a good feel for Homestead and that will allow us to throw a lot at the car. We want to take as much momentum into the off-season as possible, so this is a great place to do it.”
