Ford 300 - Robert Pressley Notes
ST Motorsports No. 47 Team Notes
Robert Pressley Quotes
On Homestead: “The third time was definitely a charm at Homestead. The third different design we saw last year made for good racing. I like the variable banking. You can run low, you can run in the middle groove, you can run high. The key is finding a place on the track that gives you a great launching point for the runs down the straightaways.”
On the season: “We’ve been at a disadvantage all year and we should close that gap next year. We’ve had to work hard on our chassis setups and bodies to make up the difference this year. When we get the new engine and add it to what we already know about our cars, you can’t help but be optimistic. I think everyone is excited about the 2005 season. We’ve created a great foundation for the future.”
Crew Chief Dan Deeringhoff Quote
On Homestead: “The new banking in the corners makes Homestead a big horsepower track. You have to pay a lot of attention to your setup for the middle of the turn through the exit. That way your car is set up for the sprint down the straightaways.”
