ST Motorsports No. 47 Team Notes

  • Robert Pressley is 19th in the NASCAR Busch Series standings, 149 points from the top 10, with $557,190 in earnings.
  • Saturday’s race will be Pressley’s 15th career start at the one-mile Dover International Speedway, including a sweep of both Busch Series races there in 1992.
  • Pressley will be making his 232nd career start – 23rd-most in series history – on the NASCAR Busch Series circuit.

    Robert Pressley Quotes:
On Dover: “It’s real easy to love Dover when you’re car is right. It’s real easy to hate it when your car isn’t right. We had it hooked up in 1992 when we won both of the races there, but we’ve also had some tough days there. When the car’s right, you can fly off the corners and have a good day. When it’s not, you fight the steering wheel all day and the banking really wears on your arms, back and neck.”

On the season: “These final eight races are critical for this race team. We need to finish strong. First, we need to make a run for the Top 10. Second, we need to build momentum for 2005. Any late season charge has to start at Dover.”

    Crew Chief Dan Deeringhoff Quote:
On Dover: “The second and fourth turns are critical because that’s where most cars will push up toward the wall. Robert and I have some ideas how to keep the car on the bottom groove, and if they work, I like our chances. We’re approaching the race by using a speedway car and applying a short-track mentality.” Robert Pressley and Clorox/Wisk
