MBNA America 200/Dover International Speedway Preview

ST Motorsports No. 47 Team Notes

  • Robert Pressley is 20th in the NASCAR Busch Series standings with $274,955 in earnings.
  • Saturday's race will be Pressley's 14th NASCAR Busch Series career start at the one-mile Dover International Speedway. He has six Top-10 finishes there, including two wins in a series sweep in 1992.
  • Pressley will be making his 219th career start in the NASCAR Busch Series circuit.

    Robert Pressley Quotes:
On Dover: "I've always liked Dover. I've got a couple wins there and you always take that kind of confidence with you. This will be Dan Deeringhoff's first race as our new crew chief and Steve Plattenberger's first race in his new position as team coordinator/shock specialist, so I think we'll be in good shape."

On the season: "It's never too late to make a run in the Busch Series standings. We've changed things around with a new crew chief, so I think we've re-positioned ourselves to make that run."

    Crew Chief Dan Deeringhoff Quote:
On Dover: "If you're going to pick a first race, I can't think of a tougher assignment than Dover. They have a lot of good set-up notes from the past; Robert has a great history here. I need to get everything to mesh together. The racetrack is tough on equipment because you have to drive right on the edge on every lap. But I'm confident we can get the car up front."
