Biffle Wins Diamond Hill Plywood 200
Greg Biffle outran his Roush Racing teammate to win the Diamond Hill Plywood Co. 200 at Darlington Raceway. Biffle finished the event 3.115 seconds ahead of Jeff Burton to claim his first win at the famed Darlington racetrack. Biffle led the most laps on the day, staying at the front of the field for 67 of the event’s 147 laps, to win for the 12th time in his Busch Series career. Burton brought home a second-place effort, while David Green finished in the third position. Martin Truex Jr. and David Stremme finished fourth and fifth respectively. Nextel Cup regular Kevin Harvick holds on to the series point lead, leading David Green by 26 points.
Busch on Busch Pole at Darlington
Rookie Kyle Busch won the Busch series pole position for the Diamond Hill Plywood Co. 200 at Darlington Raceway. Busch qualified in 29.164 seconds, at an average speed of 168.619 mph, to earn his first career pole in his 11th series start. Busch edged out Kasey Kahne for the top starting spot by a mere .003 seconds. Kahne, one of the sport’s hottest drivers, will start from the outside pole position, followed by Kenny Wallace and Greg Biffle in the second row.
