  • Saturday's race will be Pressley's third NASCAR Busch Series career start at the 2-mile California Speedway. His best finish there a fifth in 1997. He also won the pole position there in 1998.
  • Pressley will be making his 214th career start in the NASCAR Busch Series circuit.

    Robert Pressley Quotes:

On California: "I've always liked the California Speedway. I finished fifth my first race there and I won the pole a year later. I like the big tracks, especially the flatter ones where there's a greater emphasis put on a driver's ability to save the car. California really challenges you because it's real easy to over-drive the car there. It sounds strange, but the best way to go fast there is to slow down."

On the season: "This team is amazing. We get better and better every week, and our record is starting to show it. Although we've improved every week in the standings after the last five races, the most significant thing that we've accomplished is the way we approach each race. We go to every racetrack knowing we're well prepared and we're a contender to win."

    Crew Chief Steve Plattenberger Quote:

On California: "This Saturday's race is a real challenge for the Clorox race team. Since the track is so wide and so smooth, you're never off the throttle very long there. But you have to have a car that stays under you at both ends of the speedway. Since speed is so important, the last thing you want is to use the brakes to keep the car under control. It's such a momentum track and it's important for Robert to build his momentum coming off the second and fourth turns and keeping it all the way down the straightaways."
