Kenny Wallace on Chicagoland Speedway…
“I think that the Chicagoland Speedway is one of the nicest facilities that we go to all year. The track is a cookie-cutter mile-and-a-half, but the facility that we race in is World Class.

“I am hoping that the Stacker 2 team will get back on track this week. We had a very bad month of June and we need a good finish to get us pointed in the right direction. The team has been giving me great equipment every week, but the tides have not turned in our favor. I’m hoping that this week will be our week to shine and get us back in a position to fight for the win week after week.”

Kenny Wallace happenings …
Kenny Wallace is a St. Louis native and one of the city’s biggest sports supporters, so he will have an experience that most people dream of Thursday when he plays in Albert Pujols’ celebrity golf classic. Pujols called Wallace a few weeks ago and asked him to participate in the event that will benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis. The two will team up with other MLB stars as well as local celebrities to help find a cure for Down syndrome. The event will take place at the Forest Hills Country Club.

Get to Know Jack…
One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2 heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team completes this year, NVE, the parent company of Stacker 2, will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack’s medical costs. So far this season the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team has raised $3,301.00 to help Jack and his family.

Last Thursday, July 1st, little Jack Sable was admitted to the ICU unit at the Iowa State University Hospital because only seven percent of his heart was working. After extensive tests, the doctors found out that he has contracted foot and mouth disease, which is treatable for most children. Since Jack’s immune system is so fragile, the doctors are keeping a close eye on his progress before deciding what steps to take next.
