“Bristol is a track on which I have had a lot of success. I feel comfortable on the track every time I go there. This team has been successful at Bristol and knows how to set the car up to get around this tough half-mile. They built a brand-new car from the ground up for this race, and I think it will be the car to beat on Saturday. We had a good test here a couple of weeks ago, so I think that we are well-prepared for the race.”

Kenny Wallace Happenings…

Wallace will sign autographs at the W&H trailer located in souvenir row on Bristol Motor Speedway grounds 9:15 a.m. Saturday.

Wallace will visit Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tenn., at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25 for the second stop on the 2004 YJ Stinger’s “Race to Bee Safe” program. This program was designed to teach young drivers the responsibilities that go along with driving a vehicle. Wallace, along with a local law enforcement officer, will address the students. The students will have a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship via an essay contest. The scholarship winners from every school in the program’s 17 markets will automatically be entered in the national contest, in which one student will win a $20,000 scholarship.

Get to Know Jack…One-year-old Jack Sable suffers from a chromosome disorder that affects many people in the United States. When Stacker 2 heard about Jack and his condition, it took the family under its wing. For every lap Wallace and the Stacker 2 team completes this year, NVE, the parent company of Stacker 2, will donate $1 to the Sable family to help pay for Jack’s medical costs. So far this season, Wallace and the Stacker 2 team have earned $857 for the cause. “I intend on completing every lap I can for Jack Sable and the Sable family,” Wallace said. “At the end of the year I would like nothing more than to have Jack and his family at our table at the banquet.”
