Aaron's 312 - Talladega Superspeedway

Another Talladega Win for Junior
A familiar guest visited victory lane Saturday afternoon at Talladega Superspeedway, as Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Aaron’s 312 at the Alabama track. Having just enough fuel to coast across the finish line under caution, Earnhardt took his second Busch Grand National win of the season. Earnhardt, who led the most laps on the day, staying out front for 60 circuits, is batting 1.000 in the BGN series this season after winning both of the events that he has entered. Earnhardt has 17 career Busch wins and looks to become the first driver to win four consecutive Cup races at Talladega on Sunday. Pole sitter Joe Nemechek came home in the runner-up spot, behind Earnhardt. Shane Hmiel finished in the third position, followed by Ron Hornaday and Mike Bliss in the top five.

"Front Row Joe" on Talladega Pole
Coming off a win and a fine last week, Joe Nemechek scored his second Busch Grand National pole position of the season. Nemechek, who won the Busch race last weekend in Texas and the team later received a $25,000 fine for an illegal spring, won the pole for the Aaron's 312 at Talladega Superspeedway. Nemechek qualified in 50.761 seconds, at an average speed of 188.649 mph, to give him a pole on both restrictor-plate tracks this season. The pole was the 16th top starting spot of Nemechek’s BGN career. Kasey Kahne will join Nemechek on the front row, starting from the outside-pole position, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. qualified third and Ron Hornaday starts fourth.
