Funai 250 - Bobby Hamilton, Jr. Notes

BOBBY HAMILTON, JR.
TEAM MARINES RACING
RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

RACE: Funai 250
DATE: Friday September 5, 2003 8:00pm
TRACK: Richmond International Raceway .750 mile oval
LIVE COVEAGE: TNT and Motor Racing Network

BOBBY HAMILTON, JR. THOUGHTS ON FUNAI 250:

"I really enjoy racing at Richmond under the lights. I feel like we have always run well there, but have never had the finishes to show for it. Just last year, we were running away with the race and had a problem at the end. I kind of feel like this place owes us one. My crew chief, Harold Holly has always had good cars here, so Friday night should be no different. We are shooting for the third win of the year in the Team Marines Ford."

FAST FACTS

Bobby Hamilton, Jr. has recorded just one top-ten finish at Richmond International Raceway, a tenth earlier this year.
Team Marines crew chief Harold Holly led Jeff Green to victory lane here in May 2000. Holly also captured two Bud Pole awards with Green, (September 2001 and May 2000)
Bobby Hamilton, father of Bobby Hamilton, Jr. will look for his second truck series win of the year on Thursday night in Richmond. Hamilton, Jr. will be in the pits assisting his father's racing team.
Team Marines Spotter, Ronnie Russell has been atop the stands spotting for drivers for many years. Russell spent many years spotting for the King, Richard Petty. During the week, Russell serves as Team Manager for the Team Marines Ford.
